Friday 7 January 2020 around 3:00 pm in Br. Ulundanu Ds.Songan Kec. Kintamani Kab. Bangli Heavy rain has happened which caused flooding. As a result, a number of motor vehicles and 8 cars were submerged in mud as high as 25 cm.

Chronology of events as follows. On Friday 7 January 2020 around 3:00 to 18:00 West Indonesia Time in Br. Ulundanu, Ds.Songan Kec. Kintamani, Bangli Regency, there was a fairly heavy rain which caused flooding along the Songan Village road to Ulun Danu Songan Temple.

Around 19:00 Wita Bhabinkamtibmas Songan A Village and Community Br. Ulundanu, Ds. Songan gathered to carry out mutual assistance to help evacuate the submerged R2 and R4 vehicles by pulling on Hartop Cars and makeshift tools at the scene.

At 20:20 Wita, Bangli BPBD arrived at the scene to carry out the R4 Vehicle Evacuation. Until now the Evacuation is still carried out by the Joint Team BPBD, Local Community Police.

As for the losses caused by the flood that is 8 Car Units that sank into mud as high as approximately 25 Cm. Approximately 20 units of motorbikes sank.
A total of 15 Residents’ Houses and including TK Prawidya Dharma were also affected by floods and heavy rain. An electric pole collapsed which covered part of the road. Zero soul loss.

It was reported that floods due to heavy rain in Br.Ulundanu Ds. Songan due to lack of irrigation channels. Therefore, there is a need to coordinate with the Department of Public Works to prepare heavy equipment such as scope loader to anticipate things in the future. (SW-MB)
